Silence

In this place

where the only voice

is jay and finch

bullfrog and bumblebee

I sit silent as the grass

as the ladybug

and mute deer.

Today I will allow raven

to teach me to speak

as he glides above

uttering wisely

only one word at a time,

and that word is

Truth.
